Reducing Weld Neck Raised Face Flange is one of the core flange types.
Reducing: Designed for connecting pipes of two different diameters. No additional reducer is required, which minimizes sealing points and lowers leakage risks.
Manufacturing Standard: ASME B16.5 Core flange standard published by the American Society of Mechanical Engineers. It covers flanges with nominal size 1/2"~24" and pressure class 150#~2500#, widely adopted across global oil, chemical and power industries.
Pressure Class: Class 600 US‑standard pound‑class rating, equivalent to GB PN100 (100 bar, approx. 10 MPa). As a high‑pressure flange, it serves severe pressure service conditions. Its allowable working pressure decreases as temperature rises.
Material: ASTM A105 Most‑widely used forged carbon steel for industrial piping, suitable for ambient‑ and medium‑high‑temperature pressure‑bearing systems. Suffix N stands for Normalized heat treatment. Compared with standard A105, it features more uniform grain structure, improved toughness and impact resistance, fit for harsh conditions such as low‑temperature service and offshore platforms.
Nominal Size: 4 Inch US customary nominal size, metric equivalent DN100 (1 inch ≈25.4 mm), indicating the nominal pipe diameter the flange matches.
